As neighbour to the hotel the old, beautifully renovated sanatorium Resenlund is located in the middle of Krabbesholm forest. In the buildings you will amongh others find Skive Musikskole (music school) and Helledie Glastpusteri (glass works), which certainly are worth visiting.

The city of Skive offers pleasant pedestrian streets decorated with arts made by local artists, and in 2006 the city was known for its "11 stars", which decorate all the roundabouts. In KulturCenter Skive you will among others find an ultra modern cinema, swimming pool (water park) and a gym, and right outside Skive you will find Skive Golf Course.

There are a lot of attractions in the hinterland of Skive, which certainly are worth visiting. For instance Jeppe Åkjærs Jenle, Mønsted Kalkgruber (limestone mines), Daugbjerg Kalkgruber (limestone mines) or the best preserved medevial castle Spøttrup Borg with live demonstrations, rose garden and herb garden with contemporary medicinal plants.

Visit Stårup Manor with antique shop or Dalsgård Antik, a manor with everything from flea market finds to fine antiques.

Take the ferry "Sleipner" to Fur, the island located "2 minutes from Denmark", and find fossils, see and taste the ecological specialties of the island or the beer from Fur Bryghus, which is also open for tours and even has decorated a restaurant.

At Thise Mejeri (dairy) you will find a nice shop, where you can buy all the delicious, ecological products of the dairy.
